Are you getting what you need?
Hi, I'm Sue, the new General Manager of the HHCA. Are you getting what you need? Does the HHCA provide you with the right information, education and networking opportunities to help your business be successful?
I recently met witht he HHCA's volunteer leadership to develop some priorities for 2016. Some of the topics we talked about were:education and networking opportunities to help your business be successful?
Offering great services to our members - the HHCA added a new member benefit this year. Two Grey Suits is an online human resources portal. It has policies you can download, information to help you hire the right candidate, even an Employee Handbook. FOR FREE. We're all busy, but not worrying about HR until you have a problem is a big mistake. In the New Year we'll be hosting an education session to help members make the most of this benefit. Want more information? Contact the office.
The Regional Construction Safety Group - did you know that the WSIB is planning to change the way it charges employer premiums? Possibly as early as 2018? Joining a Safety Group now may help your business achieve a lower premium rate under the new system. To bring members up to date on the proposed changes we're hosting a breakfast session with the WSIB on November 18th. Interested? Click here for details.
Encouraging feedback from membership - the staff at the HHCA is fully committed to helping you and your business succeed but we need your help. Are there things you wish the HHCA offered? Do you have a great idea? Are there areas that need improvement? Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org; I'd love to hear from you.
Believe it or not I've wanted to work for a local association for a while; I've wanted to get back to being part of a community and helping people achieve their goals. I look forward to working with you to improve our association, our community and our industry.
